Tom Tribone is the CEO and founder of Guggenheim Global Infrastructure Company, and is a well-known figure in the world of energy development. Tom was formerly the President and CEO of AES Americas, a company with 20,000 employees and 55 million customers worldwide. After he received his MBA and Juris Doctor degrees, he began working with the AES Corporation in 1982 where he was a pioneer of electricity deregulation. While at AES, he helped grow the company from a $1 million start-up to a $30 billion company During his tenure at AES Americas, the company owned the four largest utilities in Brazil. Mickey Peters is an experienced international executive in the electrical power industry, most recently as the Group Vice President of Regional Operations for Duke International, based in Brazil. Previously, he headed Duke’s operations in Peru. He has a strong history of service in leadership positions in the Latin America region as Vice-President of the Board with the American Chamber of Commerce of Brazil – São Paulo. Felicia Bellows has more than 15 years’ experience in the energy sector where she has negotiated, structured and financed highly complex transactions worldwide. She joined Econergy International in 2006 to lead the investment of the IPO proceeds in South America via acquisitions, greenfield and brownfield development of projects and companies. Prior to joining Econergy, Ms. Bellows was both President of Alliant Energy Holdings do Brasil as well as Managing Director of Alliant Energy International for Latin America. She was the lead executive for the US$500m Brazilian subsidiary of Alliant Energy where she managed all Latin American investments from targeted acquisition through divestiture. Dr. Jose Orive is a Partner at Arias & Muñoz located in Guatemala City, Guatemala. His practice focuses on International Commercial Law, and he heads the firm’s CAFTA practice where he advises various local and international corporations on Commercial Law, International Contracts, and Free Trade Treaties. Mr. Orive is the Executive Director of the Asociación de Azucareros del Istmo Centroamericano (AICA), the Central American Sugar Association. Sean Casten is the President and CEO of Recycled Energy Development, a power project developer focused on capturing waste energy to produce electricity and thermal power. Mr Casten has been a pioneer in the cogeneration space and has led the development of more than 50 projects using renewable fuel sources. He was the 2007 chairman of the U.S. Combined Heat and Power Association (USCHPA) and in 2005 was identified as a “CHP Champion” in recognition of his leadership toward greater national use of clean, efficient, and reliable combined heat and power. Dr. Mary Ann Leeper is currently a Visiting Professor of Business Administration, teaching a highly popular course on Social Responsibility and Entrepreneurship in the MBA program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Previously, Dr. Leeper was co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Female Health Company (FHC), where she is currently Senior Strategist and a member of the FHC Board. Dr. Leeper received the prestigious “Woman Entrepreneurship” award from Temple University’s School of Business in November, 2003 and a recognition award in 2005 by certain United Nation and global health agencies for her pioneering efforts in the work of women’s health. Dr. Leeper is a renowned expert and frequent speaker on issues regarding corporate social responsibility and women’s issues in the developing world. |
